Networking Sicilian Style means great food, wine, people AND a presentation about the rich history, culture, food and wine of Sicily. Casa Italia is Chicagoland's destination for Italian festivals, educational events and cultural experiences.

In Chicago he has pursued and obtained a degree in Hospitality Management and Occupational Psychology from DePaul University. Besides working as a travel planner to Italy, he teaches Italian and even Sicilian language from years. Sharing knowledge about his native language and culture is something akin to a mission for him.
His involvement with CIAP originated at the beginning of the year 2015 when he met Salvatore, the Executive Director of the organization, with whom he shares Sicilian roots. CIAP is a unique place for him and for you to celebrate the language, the culture, and all the great things “il bel paese” has to offer.
Using her experiences as a teacher and frequent traveler to Italy, she wrote the “Conversational Italian for Travelers” series of books, which follow the character Caterina on her travels through Italy, while at the same time introducing the fundamentals of the Italian language and culture.

- Event starts at 6pm and ends at 9pm.
- Networking and bocce from 6pm to 7pm
- Presentation on Sicily from 7pm to 7:30pm
- Food and networking from 7:30pm until 9pm
Food includes:
- Arancini - famous Siclian rice balls filled with tasty ingredients; you will have a ball eating these
- Pane e Panelle - famous Sicilian street food found at the Vucciria Vecchia in Palermo, Sicily
- Caponata - Delicious appetizer of eggplant, tomato sauce and other mouth watering seasonings
- Baked Anellini al Forno pasta - this baked Sicilian pasta dish is about as delicious and famous as you can get.
- Insalata al Camaci: salad as famous as the chef who prepares it
- Canolii - delicious tasty sweet creamy filled pastry shells that will bring back memories of the Arab influence in Sicily right in your mouth.
- Nero D'Avola - the most famous Sicilian varietal served in copious quantities to quench your thirst while you eat the delicious Sicilian food
- Limoncello - tasty lemon flavored cordial that will remind you of the beautiful view of Taormina, Sicily
