Picture your desired outcome (e.g., that new home, the improved romantic relationship, a fulfilling career). Really feel the feelings associated with what you're imagining. Is it a sense of peace, joy, or excitement? This approach is the simplest way to find the grit to get through even the toughest situations and projects. When faced with a challenge, we often focus on the problem, but what if we, instead, focused on the solution? When I remodeled my home, I felt overwhelmed by everything that I needed to have fixed, but then I shifted my attention to my end goal, that is, having a beautiful, inviting, inspiring space.
